A Perfect Day for Banana Fish

No one should ever adapt J.D. Salinger into movies, I've just always imagined this story taking place at my grandparents condo in south Florida. The Ambassador Hotel. I had to try.
Pictured, is the second half of the story. In the first half, Seymour's Glass' lovely young wife, on the phone, assures her worried mother that she's fine (not hurt) and Seymour has been acting normal. No more episodes.

Nicely handled. Might have considered a stylistic "break" during the elevator sequence--cut to live sound maybe? Nevertheless, seems like you're a good reader.
