Final Fantasy VIII - Eyes On Me (Piano Collections)

Just me playing Eyes On Me from the FF8 Piano Collections. This one's pretty difficult for a newbie like me but I did my best, I'm still not satisfied with my performance but it'll have to do for now. This is also the first Final Fantasy Piano Collections piece I've attempted. Hope you enjoy!

No way hehe, so far everything I've learned has been from sheet music, I'm not brave enough to try and learn something by ear. =P

If you mean can I play it from memory, then yes at this point I can. I've probably played it at least 200 times practicing and it's burned itself into my brain. I just kept the sheet music on the stand as a guide in case I had a mind blank or something. =P

This looks like a very difficult peice, congratulations on a great performance!! I can't believe you call yourself a "newbie" to the piano. Lol I was playing "when the saints coming marching in" when I first started playing! I have to admit though, a better piano would make you sound like you should. If your like me and can't afford a piano, look into a keyboard. Some inexpensive keyboards really sound n feel like the real thing nowadays n Lol they all have working D keys!! PEACE MAN!

Lol I was playing "when the saints coming marching in" when I first started playing!  LOL, that sounds familiar to me, it's still the only thing I can play!

I think just about everyone plays "When The Saints Come Marching In" when they start out, I know I was lol. =P

This certainly is not an easy piece to play :) It was my first Piano Collections piece too, and I found it a lot more challenging than I initially thought it would be.

I think you already know all the areas you need to work on.. it needs to be a lot smoother and the tempo needs to be increased a lot, especially in the first half. I thought the dynamics were pretty good; pedalling needs to be corrected in a few areas.

Basically, practice a lot more and it'll come together :)

For a beginner? Yes, very challenging! I guess some of the OST pieces could be considered 'easy'.
