A traditional Irish song called 'Welcome Poor Paddy Home' that I learned from the singing of Cathy Jordan (Dervish). Tin whistle and guitar.

(I bet the chords are all wrong, he always makes them up.)

The middle part is a bit messy as you can hear. I didn't know the song well enough, so better watch the video response for this video, by Takodablue. It's very well played, much better than my version and you can hear a clear and non-messy middle part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khzZ-4_gumc&watch_response

  • Hey Handsome!

Well i'm back! Wanted to learn this song again after the last time I recorded it and noticed you've got me in your video description! I am sorry that I dont have that video up anymore. Maybe i'll post a new one with my irish flute I just bought.I am going to watch your newer video's too. I haven't played for ages and ages but want to get back into it again. Your an inspiration and a REALLY talented player!

  • Aw c'mon. It's his younger brother. Why can't you just relish the fact that these two brothers from Mallorca, Spain are fascinated with CELTIC music. Watch their other videos and you will see the young guitarist getting better and better with each video. Plus, he is a great percussionist too!

  • Hello there, just wanted to let you know how much I love your playing :P. I am trying to learn the tin whistle too, and your videos have been a great inspiration too me. So, thanks. Really, from my heart. Thanks.

  • yes well, like the notes of a D whistle will be the same on a D low whistle. and a C whistle will be the same on a low c whistle and so on.

  • The notes are the same. A tin whistle player can play at the same time as a low whistle player and they are doing exactly the same with the fingers. But the low whistle is harder to play because is much bigger that the tin whistle.
