'The Olive Tree' is a Taiwanese 1979 'classical pop' tune composed by Taixiang Li with lyrics by the Taiwanese poet San-Mao. The poignant melody sings of our dreams to wander faraway for unknown purposes. The tune became a common memory for Chinese in the late 20 Century.
