This airsoft Mini-gun
custom is available as FREE JPG Pattern sets or CAD Plans only- I make these once in a while, and not cheaply. I'm retired, and have more fun GIVING THEM AWAY to my subscribers who show enthusiasm for them. -I'm a true Artist!
The electric motor rotates the minigun weapon within its housing, and the minigun's multi-barrel design helps to prevent overheating, but also serves other functions. Multiple barrels enable a very high firing rate, The minigun is basically six closed-bolt rifle barrels arranged in a helical-tracked diecast housing. A gas-operated variation called the XM133 was also developed, but was never used or made in numbers.
The minigun is used as defense armament on many helicopters and warships. The minigun weapon is an integral part of both the A/A49E-11 armament systems on the UH-1N copters, and also in the A/A49E-13 armament subsystem for the HH-60H aircraft. The selectable fire rate of either 2,000 or 4,000 rpm is usually left in the lower range to conserve ammunition.
The term minigun refers to a single weapon, made by General Electric, the light-bulb people. The "Mini" of the name refers to much larger machine gun designs that use a rotary firing action. General Electric's earlier 20 mm M61 Vulcan is the model on which the smaller M134 minigun was based.

I hadn't really paid much attention to the SIZE of a mini-gun M134 at this point. Besides, how can larger be worse, when it's a GUN?

When you're playing airsoft and someone comes out with this, it might be best to turn around and shoot at your allies, I.E, new enemies.

@DDDigitalDuck Because EVERY body does that, and an airsoft gun is...an airsoft gun. I make custom gun bodies, I don't "do" hot-rodded gearboxes unless the customer wants (and provides) one. I stick to what I "DO": making one of a kind airsoft.
