  • I've never heard a band that could interpret Jamaican music as tastefully as Blue Riddim. The triumph at Sunsplash 82 was bound to happen given the opportunity. This performance reinvents Michigan & Smiley's "Thank You Jah" (on the Full Up rhythm) with a brilliant, soulful arrangement -- the rhythm section is locked together perfectly. This is what the group did best.

  • I used to go see these guys when they were "Rythym Funktion" and played in KC at McNasty's Boiler Room in the River Quay. 3 or 4 nights a week - I couldn't stay away!

God rest all of their souls.

Many thanks to Carter for posting this. Is there any more?.... there HAS to be more!

These guys got it all down pat - then they made it swing. WHEW! Could they ever swing. Long Live Blue Riddim Band.
