  • I looked for more from Margaret Christl and I can't believe this is the only song I could find. Figgy can you post more of her music.

  • Wow your voice is beautiful. Thanks for singing this for Stan and the rest of us.

  • This (Maggie's) is the first version I ever heard of this song in spite of being a long time fan of both Stan and Eric.

I have Looking Towards Home on vinyl and have already digitized it. Perhaps I can post a couple of others when I have some "play time". After 40 years earning a living with computer technology, I tend not to gravitate to them for a "break"

  • this song was played at my uncle's memorial service. he was my youngest uncle. he died on st particks day 2008. i was only 8 years old. :'( R.I.P uncle phill. i will miss you.

  • I have the Cassette of Looking towards Home..It is absolutely beautiful as is Maggie!!

I received it as a gift from Her and I will always treasure it!!!!

  • Maggie is amazing. What a voice.

  • I was never able to buy this album. I don't suppose you can upload The Mingulay Boat Song?

  • This is one of my favorite artists. I was never able to buy this album. I don't suppose you can upload The Mingulay Boat Song?

  • This is a fantastic song which I only found a couple of weeks ago, sadly Eric Bogle's original version has been removed from you tube because the person who posted it has closed their account, this is really sad because as you say it was in fact writen as a tribute to Stan Rogers, someone else who's music I discovered through youtube. Is there anyone out there who who can upload this version back onto youtube?

  • I love, love, love Maggies version of this tune. I love Eric Bogle, but prefer the sweetness of her voice - written by Eric as a tribute to Stan Rogers. I have sung this at funerals and you can hear a pin drop - very poignant!

Thank you so much for posting this, I was haunted by this version but couldn't find her CD anywhere - I have the cassette.
