Bottom Line and simply put...an invasion like this would never work. Period. There is not a country in the world with the man-power (save china) to pull off a large scale invasion of a massive country like the US. It simply would not work.

Not to mention the Political fallout, Russia would be immediately cut off from the world because of all the international corporations with ties to the US. This would simply be impossible without the use of nuclear weapons.

You forget the fact that the invasion was kicked off by Makarov pinning a massive massacre of a Russian airport on an American, which kicked Russia into a fervor that started the invasion. NATO had to sit on its hands because Russia was "justified" in their invasion.

@SickBritKid Honestly, what they probably should have done is have you play as one of Makarov's henchmen. Instead of killing people at an airport, you and Makarov's men infiltrate a NATO nuclear missile site. Once there, you kill the entire security personnel and set the firing coordinates for several different areas, including some Russian cities. The nuclear launches are successful, and NATO is blamed for the attacks, which causes the Russians to rally together in support of war.

@SickBritKid That still wouldn't make the invasion "justified", though. One person massacring a ton of people in an airport doesn't give the victimized country the right to senselessly invade the attacker's homeland and slaughter millions of innocent civilians. IF something like that were to happen in real life, I'm sure there would be a cooperative effort to find, capture and/or kill the perpetrators, in which case there would be no need for a war.

@Theplaymaker127 While i agree a long term assault would be impossible and any attacks utterly foolish. With the massive army of Russia it would be easy to just bomb half the nation and launch an assault on 2-3 of the biggest cities like done in the game.And we could never know if actually American soldiers would be seen killing thousands of innocent people what other countries would believe.
