  • Marc (that's me) is playing a silver plated King 2b in those days. Now I am endorsing the Michael Rath R10 trombone. I think Carl Fontana was playing a Vincent Bach 12 at that time.

  • Pretty good ! Where was this and who is that band. , pls ? Enjoyed and thanks !!

  • This is the Metropole Orchestra. This was recorded in a television studio in Hilversum (Netherlands)

  • can you please tell me what year this was recorded? thanks

  • @cambuma2 2007

  • yes, CF is the best.

  • Reminds me of the days when big bands / orchestras were cool and stuff like this was on TV often. This is how I ended up learning to play the trombone as a kid in the 70's, because I heard Don Lusher playing sentimental over you with the Jack Parnell orchestra on TV. Kids don't wanna learn anymore because real music doesn't get the exposure like it in the days this was recorded. I hope one day kids realise they're being ripped off by talentless morons, and turn back to real music.

Hold up a second.... You're telling me you're Marc Godfroid and you played with Carl Fontana?!

  • Do you have any tips for growing trombone players?

  • Bravo Maestro

  • Carl, the best!

  • @KBChuck Thanks!

  • @SuperTB4

Check out Bill Reichenbach. He's a bad ass bass bonist who does some soloing.

  • Awesome video! thanks for the upload. However, sometimes I just want to see them play a fifth position or maybe a sixth (I geuss that is the classical trombonist in me :) and just on a side note why arent there any bad ass bass trombone improves like this?
