  • Maybe it's just me, but the TTC Subway looks as if it's significantly faster (both top speed and acceleration) than the STM Metro in Montreal. Plus, from the last time I rode one, it was also atleast 3X as quiet and as smooth as the rubber-tired cars in Montreal.

  • Yeah, the TTC really has great trains, the one in this video is 34 years old, they sure know how to take care of their trains

  • Wow - Something funky with the doors at the beginning... Plus, near the end the doors open really fast for a TTC vehicle.

  • Yeah, that what happens when passengers charge the closing doors, and the doors always open fast on the H4 cars...H6's too

  • Runnymede is my station

  • I love those H4's and H5's.

  • It's both care and necessity. The TTC only replaced its buses in 2006... *all* 800 or so, because some had been running for 30+ years. Until the feds and the province fund the TTC properly, the (really well made) H5 and H6 trains will keep running, alongside the newer T1s.

  • The TTC has the best trains in the world!
