South Africa's history is portrayed more commonly as that of a stereotypical African country. Everyone knows the Zulu's and maybe they've heard of the Bushmen. But, not denying the native history of South Africa, it was (is) a great country with a rich colonial history that caused a development-boom that would last for centuries. All of its people (both white and black) should be PROUD. We are not second to the world, we are not "third", we can stand tall as a country of strong-willed fighters, strugglers, South Africans. I know there are many things that make us different, but there is one all-important thing that binds us together - the fighting spirit for this country. If we channel our will to fight towards poverty, unemployment and corruption, not against each other, then our past would not have been in vain. Be proudly South African! Show the world we can.
