lol wtf i've just seen

1 more thing, JC used the word avatar, because sumhow, the artifiacl NaVi bodies contain the soul and mind of the explorers, so, well, it's like those bodies are their other selves.

OK, HERE'S THE TRUTH, JAMES CAMERON MADE A NOVEL, AND AFTER THAT, IT BECAME A MOVIE. IN HINDUISM, AVATAR MEANS "MANIFESTATION", "REPRESENTATION", SO, WELL, IN JC'S NOVEL, THE SOUL AND MIND OF THE EXPLORERS GOT INTO THE BODY OF THE CLONED NA'VIs, SO, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HINDUISM, OK????

Indian are known by imagination and superstitions all the time .... but I went too far here

@mindsoulbody You seem to miss the point, and are responding in a knee-jerk ethnocentric way. I'm not suggesting Cameron invented the notion, he clearly got it from Hinduism. I'm talking about this work in particular, and how its style, and graphics seem to be taking from Avatar.
Go watch the 90s Japanese cartoon of Ramayana. This Avatar-based look doesn't match up.

@MrSatrajitgupta You clearly missed the point. I'm talking about how this is ripping off Cameron's Avatar. I'm well aware Cameron ripped off the Hindu notion of avatars, but we are talking about this work.

In Indian art , characters with depth and those that are perfect are depicted in sky blue. Hence Vishnu , Krishna and Rama are in blue. Rama is sometimes shown in green just to differentiate him from Krishna. Negative characters however are depicted in dark blue, purple and black.

@CharvakaJim The illuminaughty want to rule over the remaining 10% population irreligiously. When the put their plans in to full effect they will want ignorant masses to simply believe All these wonderful eternal times of the Supreme Personality of Godhead to appear like aliens flying around in vimanas. Those spiritually in tune can tune in (by chanting Holy names) to Lord's pastimes through the tv in the heart.

@CharvakaJim He's supposed to be blue. I saw an interview, I believe Cameron claimed he was inspired by his dream(s) he had since or when he was a child, but those could easily have been inspired by images of Vishnu's incarnations, which are if not ubiquitious, at least pretty common, even here in New Jersey, I've seen them in public places occasionally. I find it interesting which deities in mythology are portrayed as blue, some of the women are too (Kali, Isis).
@vanna4animals dude that's not even Krishna... That's Rama....

@CharvakaJim Ram himself was and is portrayed in this color since the beginning. It was Avatar that took stuff from other things.Ram's another incarnation called Krishna (meaning dark complexion). To portray that in a different way, often hindu statues are painted bluish colored. This has been done for 1000s of years.SO NO, it was not Cameron's Avatar that it copied from.Read history.Hindusim is about 4500 years old religion. Came from Indo-Aryans.
