Thank you very much, and good luck with your audition. This was one of her pieces for a local musical festival, for which she took first place. It is a beautiful song, isn't it?! She is 13 yrs old in this vid., it was done this past May. She has been studying voice for about 4 yrs at this point.

it is a very nice sound i like it a lot especially for a 13 year old at the time for this song try not to cut straight to the consonants of my and lord instead say lawd and ma especially seeing as it is an afro american song it will give the effect and not cut off the lovely sound she is making :)

thats a nice song im on here because im trying to get in the alabama school of fine ars and this is one of the songs i have to sing she has as a nice voice
