(I complained about the vid so in response they put up what they called a less triggering version, but I didnt find it much better.)

The pictures of self injury in this video were NOT of me.

They kinda made it seem like I was one of those who posted gory vids. They didnt defend me at all. They made it seem like some of the pictures they showed were of me.

I feel that more could have been done with this video, but I imagine they would have had a time limit?
Nina Sparano was a very nice woman and kind when interviewing me, and she did ask important and thoughtful questions. Maybe the editor only wanted the sensational parts.


I uploaded this an hour ago, but realized I put the wrong clip in the vid. That's what happens when I dont watch things before I post them....

Oooh, that's a tough one. I would be freaking out too if my scale was taken away.

Do you have meetings with a nutritionist? Maybe they could help you to see what kinds of foods you will feel safe eating.

I wish I knew how to make the panic go away.

though they could have done more with this video. They did alot of good.

At the end they listed a place to start to seek help , and it builds awareness. I'm sure these things about the pics being you wheren't intended as the voice over said different.They obiously had a time limit and the editor.....was errr a bit rash with the editing. But they did there best. Not sure way eveyone is so mad.......wonder if everyone watched the fox clip or if they just feed off Melisa being upset.

I had to watch the clip again with your point of view in mind. I would imagine that maybe they werent used to the topic enough to know how to address it. They didnt have as much time as us to think about how to present it.

I do wish they had said everything that was in the description below the video. I wish they would have said that the pics were not of me and that my channel was different.

But I can see your point.

Wow i never watched the news clip until now cause when you first posted it I wasn't yet safe enough in recovery. I'm glad self injury got awareness but, that's so hypocritical of them with the triggering content! I'm pissed at the way they used you and edited it so all it was was you describing how you hurt yourself. Guess that's fox news for ya....so sorry they did this to you though ):

I am new to your channel and I really feel for you and how much you are suffering. the gist that I got form the FOX news clip is they portray the youtube posts as teens bragging and showing off the self abuse. Of the vids of yours I have watched so far my impression is of a form of catharsis for you as well as a way to connect with others in need. The news is very irresponsible on a daily basis especially in the US. New is entertainment anymore.
