Pearl Jam - Even Flow (Cover)

This is a full cover to "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam, from the "Ten" album (1991).

It took a while to finish this one, but the final result is a lot better than we expected.

About the guitar work... I recorded the guitars just as they are in the original song, which has 2 main guitars playing along during the whole song. The left channel guitar is Mike McCready (black strat), and the right channel guitar is Stone Gossard (les paul). Theres a 3rd guitar track which appears on the 2nd verse only. It plays the "licks", and alternates from one channel to another. That track is played by Mike also.
Also, its important... Stone came up with the riff using Open D tuning on his guitar (D-A-D-F#-A-D). Thatd be the Les Paul. Mike (black strat) played kinda the same riff an octave higher and added his solo and licks but using standard tuning (E-A-D-G-B-E).

Its been an honor working with such talented musicians. I hope its not the last time.

If youre interested, the settings on my Marshall MA50c amp were:

"Overdrive" channel.

Crunch Balance: 10
Gain: 10
Bass: 5
Middle: 4
Treble: 6

Resonance: 3
Presence: 6

Volume: 5
(it has to be at least on 5 to make the tubes crunch like theyre supposed to).

Mic: Shure SM57
Mic Position: Close mic'ing, Edge.

I used a Dunlop GCB95 Crybaby for the left channel guitar, its not On all the time, I turn it on from time to time, Im sure you can tell when I turn it On.
