Of course not. We love war. Why else would we have a major war every 20 years?

@BennyQuixote That's false, Remington made rifles for many governments including our own before WWII.

He meant private sector jobs

"I'll eat up all your crackers and your licorice
hey yo fat girl, c'mere--are ya ticklish?
Yeah, I called ya fat.
Look at me, I'm skinny
It never stopped me from gettin' busy
I'm a freak
I like the girls with the boom
I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom . . "

so true i am a private citizen and i am a jet mechanic that works on air force planes and i have never been in the military

1. Outsourcing is a decision made by private businesses.
2. Janitorial work where? In government buildings? What's your point? Those are public jobs. The government is not paying people to mop the floors in the phone company buildings.

No quarrels with your basic facts.
However, I would not call any economic practice that spans the last 67 years "relatively new." Those are all the years of the modern economic structure we know today. Certainly, it covers a human lifetime.
And even the stuff that actually is new (such as outsourcing janitorial work) still count as creating jobs in the private sector.

First, the making of arms by private corporations is a relatively new system. They were not always made in the private sector. In World War II and prior, all military arms were made by governments.
Second, the defense industry has seen some extreme drawbacks to using private military contractors for military infrastructure. Id est Blackwater. Using the private sector for military use only incentives these corporations to cut costs, which risks the lives of our soldiers.

Except for all that deregulation of the finance industry...
Even if that had been the case, he would still be wrong. The government creates jobs in the private sector all the time.
You know, like the defense industry? My friend's husband has worked for Grumman making war machinery for Uncle Sam for, hmm, let's see...TWENTY FIVE YEARS.
Doesn't sound like that job's going away, does it?
