Education is Hope

Kenya evokes many associations in our minds. We have seen cameras travel over brilliant terrain, teaming with wildlife and spectacular sunsets. We have also seen cameras travel through some of the most depressed and poverty stricken communities in the world.
With a desire to create a new outlook, but without formal film training or a large scale budget, William ODonnell and Dylan Westfall have traveled to Kenya and captured an underlying hope that resides within the Kenyan poor. With just a camera and desire to show a new perspective, they have connected to native students who have experienced the power of education, a source of empowerment where people find hope. Education gives people tools and the confidence to use them, as they further themselves, and uplift their family and community.
