@navarrodragon25 Do you stone to death your children when they are bad? Would you stone to death your wife on her fathers doorstep if you found that she was not a virgin on your wedding night? If not, then you don’t follow what the Bible teaches. Do you only do good things because you want heavenly reward or you fear a celestial punishment? Morality doesn’t come from religion it precedes it.

@comanche66100 It is. So a bird with a slightly thicker skull than it's siblings was going to eat a grub but the grub crawled into some rotted wood. The bird pecked through the wood to get the grub and so becomes more successful and has more offspring. It's offspring have the same traits but one of it's children has a slightly thicker skull and cushioning fluid so it is more successful and has more chldren. These offspring also have thicker skulls.... and so on.

@MrDasmaster Don't waste your time. It's impossible to have a rational discussion with someone like him. Tamething has decided that his interpretation of a set of ancient texts written by nomadic tribes a few thousand years ago is a better way to understand the world than reason and evidence. We can't do anything to persuade people like that. We can try to persuade those whose minds work properly; and we can fight the religious when their beliefs cause harm.

There are no final solutions , there is no absolute truth, there is no supreme leader, there is no totalitarian solution, that says that if you will just give up your freedom of inquiry, if you simply abandon your critical faculties, the world of idiotic bliss can be yours. You may lose the faculties, you may not know as a result, that the idiotic bliss is even more idiotic than it looks.

@akrulla By contrast, humankind seems not to evolve at all - at least, not morally. It's capacity for all forms of immorality has not diminished over millennia. The twentieth century was the bloodiest and most violent in all of recorded history. This only serves to validate Christianity's claim that we need a Saviour.
