@LinuxTux37 Uh, no? Tony Asher (not Van Dyke Parks) wrote a set of temporary lyrics during the Pet Sounds sessions. Asher himself has said they weren't meant to be used. Mike wrote a new set of lyrics to it on the way to a recording session, presented them to Brian, and Brian liked them and so they were used.
This is NOT how the song was "originally intended to be heard". Van Dyke Parks didn't want to write lyrics for the song.

Brian never sounded better. He’s come a long way from when he wouldn’t get out of bed or sat in his sandbox all day.

Brian demonstrates an enormous vocal range in this performance. Amazing for someone that old.

@LinuxTux37 there is a studio version somewhere on Youtube

it makes my heart happy to see him smile. :)

Let the Theremin vs. Tannerin battle begin...

I like the other lyrics better. "She's already working on my brain" is not very romantic. But this is a great rendition!

I like the part when they sing

@LinuxTux37 Well actually Tony Asher not Van Dyke
I know brain had a little help but he really went that note at 0:12.

@pablotabloz They were the original lyrics written by Van Dyke Parks. Mike Love didn't like them, and Brian, wanting work on the song to continue, let Mike use his lyrics. This is how the song was originally intended to be heard.
