On the weekend Americans celebrated their independence, a group of Bahá'is from the Dallas area gathered for a candlelight prayer vigil for counterparts in Iran that know no such freedoms. Seven members of the Bahá'i community there, Mrs. Fariba Kamalabadi, Mr. Jamaloddin Khanjani, Mr. Afif Naeimi, Mr. Saeid Rezaie, Mr. Behrouz Tavakkoli, Mr. Vahid Tizfahm and Mrs. Mahvash Sabet, have been held in a Tehran prison for over a year on trumped-up charges, including "spreading corruption on Earth," punishable by death by the penal code of the Islamic Republic.
They stand trial July 11, 2009. Please pray for their safety and for prisoners of conscience everywhere, whose only crime is the desire to freely practice their beliefs.
Hey I know some people in this video! Great job everyone! Beautiful video! Allah-u-Abha!!
