Positive parenting as per this video has been dramaticaly researched to improve child well being & social functioning & to reduce delinquency. I am a parent and this works. HEFFA PLEASE! Whooping ass and abuse are 2 different things. My mother let us know who the parent was, and that she was head honcho in the house. We stepped out of line, she nipped it in the bud. I'm 23 yo, never been pregnant, arrested, graduated high school, and have my degree. I'd die for my mom, so no resentment held. This new age advice is for the birds. Lack of discipline leads to chaos. I was raised under old school fundamentals, and I'm going to raise my future kids the same way.

This woman is talking shit. She's teaching us how to be weak parents. Disciplining a child for a start, is letting them know you in control and your kids MUST obey you at all times or they will suffer the consequence. Parents should be be tough on kids.

White people shit. I'll be damned if I get down to any childs level. These studies are taken from white people who probably let their kids ru hte household. What you need to do is show then who is boss while their young. I'm not saying beat the snot out of them, but be a real parent and put your foot down. BAD ADVICE!!!!! OMG! This girl couldn't be more wrong! Discipline is simply this: No TV, No Barbies, No phone, no play, AT ALL - until your homework and chores are done. This teaches a child to be disciplined. And punishment is: You bit your brother on the arm, now you lost TV for the day, earned more chores around the house and you have to write at least a 1/2 a page letter to your bother explaining why you are so sorry for biting him.
