@msa4liberty You don't know what you're talking about. "Green" projects, as you disparage them, are the future. Now I'm actually more or handing over this responsibility to the private sector, and cutting back on military spending, but alternative energies are the future and the country that produces them will be the next power.

@msa4liberty Military spending helped us in the 40's and 50's. NASA spending helped us in the 60's. Green projects as you call them, are for the next decade. Most jobs lost will never come back, they have to be replaced with new jobs. Right now Europe, India and China are dominating the new technologies. China is the second biggest economy. Do you want them to take over by dwelling in the past?

He sites the military, NASA, the defense agency as examples of gov't investments that had positive effects later but liberals want to cut the miltary, gut NASA, and cut defense contractors. They don't want to invest in federal issues (like space and the military) where there is evidence of successful investments but they want to spend trillions on investing in their pet 'green' projects where there is no evidence of successful investment.
