Where can the Sulfuric Acid be obtained? I am trying to move away from KOH and aluminum for fear of my health lol.

I bought mine from a hardware store... they sometimes sell it as drain cleaner - often around 98% purity as well!

Well, it's been over a year since I did this, and I'm not too sure what the name was. I do remember it was a tall and rather scary looking red plastic bottle, however. All you really need to do is just walk in and ask for acid-based cleaners - they'll probably lead you right to it.

i dont see alot of hydrogen being made,you get better results with aluminum and lye

Yah, aluminum and lye works, but the problem with using it is that small bubbles of lye are also created and get in the escaping hydrogen, which can cause anything from stained clothing to permanent blindness.

This actually prodices H2O as well. It can be smelled at 0.00047 ppm, once you stop smelling it, its deadly.

And the pennies are coated in copper.

The melting point of copper is 1983 Fahrenheit, the same number in years that they changed pennies composition

How is this cheap? HCl would be a much cheaper choice.

this is illegal. Also it is much more expensive than the cheapest hydrogen.

when i was younger i would use 'heat' drain opener is organic reactions. it's fairly concentrated H2SO4. I's in a red plastic bottle about 1L in size and costs $12

That is correct, but the wood splint is also burning, and the yellow from that flame kind of washes out any you'd get from the hydrogen.

Hrmmm like Aluminum foild and oven cleaner in a plastic bottle... Why not use Zinc wire + water and or plates or maybe a screen ? and power it with a earth battery & homemade and a step up transformer? That video reminds me of crubling up aluminum foil balls and spraying Ovencleaner in it and shaking it up and letting it roll get hot and light it :) it produces good gas but is not replenishable... but gets expensive real quick.
