This is a full version of the new MAG film, Surviving the Peace, produced in collaboration with MediaStorm. This is a film about devastation and hope. It follows the devastation of one family, whose lives were tragically altered by UXO and MAG's fight to remove the landmines and unexploded ordnance to give families in so many countries a chance for a better future.

  • Thank you all for your support and keeping passing the film around. Help us spread the word!

  • The name of the village is Youan Thong, Pek District. Patricia@MAG America

  • Thank you for watching the film. Hopefully, by raising awareness of this problem we can help other families to avoid this fate. We shot the film in Xiang Khoung - I am not sure of the city but I will find out and reply - Patricia from MAG America.

  • Thanks for making this film and getting the word out. I am a white American but my wife was born in Lao. I have lived and worked in Lao and see many problems there of which you speak. The US and Vietnam governments should start a fund to help families such as this one. The Lao people are as peace loving a country as there is in the world.. Please help MAG. We run a project called Ban Long Ya project building schools but I think this is more important than any in many regions.

  • I would like to thank the producers of this powerful film, and I would also like to thank the US Department of State for making this possible, I work for MAG in Laos, the problem here is beyond the scope of the imagination, the story of this family in Pek District is repeated hundreds of thousands of times daily! The people of Laos urgently need our help, Lao people are the most kindest gentlest people i have had the privilege of knowing, please give to help these wonderful people live in peace

  • Incredibly moving and powerful film. I was fortunate to be able to attend the film screening in Washington D.C. and meet many of the MAG staff members as well as the filmmakers. I'm sharing this extensively to raise awareness and try to get them financial support to increase their operations.
