In Des Moines, Iowa on Monday, Tim Pawlenty officially announced his intention to run for the Republican presidential nomination. The speech contained a heavy element of what Pawlenty considers to be realistic assessments of the American circumstance, while stating that Obama "governs with an eye towards the next election, at the expense of the generation" and would rather hide from our nation's problems than face them head on. Pawlenty continued, "In Washington, they call that 'smart politics.' But I'm not from Washington." Presenting Obama's leadership in a negative light, he stressed the importance of the president's role to ditch the politics game and pick up the pieces. He declared his intention to do the politics part differently than others by simply telling the truth.
I am going to SPIT on a republican today!
