In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth and took an active part in the development and advancement of mankind.
As the centuries have passed he has slowly pulled himself back away from us and has started manipulating reality to erase any real evidence that he was ever here.

As for the biblical stand on homosexuality you've got it wrong. The bible does not condemn the act anymore than it condemns eating shellfish or trimming your beard.

Lieing and cheating are far worse from a biblical standpoint. That's why they were included in the main ten while homosexuality was left out.

Promiscuity, homo or hetero, is bad for you. Same sex life partner isn't.

...or we invented god to fulfill our need for answers, and as we progress, our need for the god answer becomes less. In a way we are growing out of the neediness (I sincerely hope) for invoking that jealous space god, and the need to pummel people with his old dogmatic fairy tales.
