This is a video demonstration of the strategy used to get the best score for Growlithe. There is a bit of luck involved in getting 3 Growlithes out of the lava pits, but you only really need 2 of them to get 5200+ for a score.

It is important start shooting pester balls over the wall to try and knock out the Growlithe as early as possible, otherwise it will take a lot more braking. Once you get 2 or 3 of them out, try to lure them toward the edge and as near to you as possible. I always throw an apple just short of the ledge to get them running against the edge and as close as possible.

Then you need to toss a pester ball just short of the main Gowlithe that you want to get in the center of the picture. You don't want to hit him directly with the pester ball. Just make sure that you throw it short of him just so that the pester residue hits the Growlithe in the face and he shakes it off. By doing this, you can still get the "shaking embers" pose worth 1300. The strategy is actually pretty simple once you know what to do. The hard part is getting the Growlithes to fit in the frame as best you can. Try to focus mainly on getting a 900-1000 main Growlithe and hope the background works out well.

There are many different techniques to get them in the frame well, but it takes a lot of timing and good fortune to have it work out perfectly.

  • @slipknothim13

Make sure you take a picture of the sign in each stage. That counts as a multiplier.

  • that´s the way! =D

Hey Pack, have you received my comments on the equipment you use to record these!? I´d really like to know so that I can play some games in my old NES and post on youtube =D

    Thanks! xD

  • Personally, I use a capture card for most of my videos. However, since my capture card never worked with my N64 (most capture cards will, not sure why mine doesn't), I have been using a DVD recorder to record my Pokemon Snap videos. Once you capture or record the video you just need to compress the video which isn't too hard after you get used to the process.

  • wow and i thought i was the bomb on this game but you make me feel like such a noob :(

  • @NoInnerKind K. I'll try that. thanx.

  • @tabbycat1212 I would say go to the official Pokemon site, and the official Nintendo site. If there is a way to contact them and if enough people ask for a new Pokemon Snap, we might get one. Just gotta stay positive on the matter.

  • @NoInnerKind I need to find a way to suggest the idea to Nintendo. Any ideas?

  • @tabbycat1212 They'd be sick. It's a shame they didn't make more of these games. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid.

  • @NoInnerKind Maybe. Oh man...Can you imagine how much better the graphics would be, today?!

  • @tabbycat1212 It'd be cool if they made a series of games. Started with 1st gen, then onto the 2nd, 3rd and so on.

  • that's nothing, my picture is better

  • I still think Nintendo needs to make a Pokemon Snap 2, with Pokemon from all 5 generations. THAT would be a hard game to beat.

  • they should remake this game with pokemon from the first 3 seasons
