Check out the loud Kicker L7. We didn't hook up the L7 for this video (that will come later), but we do talk about a lot of the technology behind the Kicker Solo-Baric L7. The original square L7 subwoofer has come a long way since its release in 2000. Get a closer look at one of the loudest subwoofers out there today!

  • do these sub require a professional installer?. i was looking at buying the l7 and the sales man wouldnt sell it unless he made a box for it.

  • @smartparts90210 If you do not have experience installing audio componets in your vehicle, then we would strongly recommend getting it professionally installed. If you live in southern california, then you could even have us install it for you!

  • @SonicElectronixTV Absolute PDEB12BK (Black/Black) Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D Kicker CVX124 (10CVX124) ??? TRYING TO GET THIS SYSTEM, WOULD THIS SYSTEM SOUND NICE LOUD?? OR SHOULD I GET A SEALED BOX INSTEAD??

  • @TINYLOWKS This set up will be loud in a ported box. If you want it to be loud then go with a ported not a sealed box.

  • Will these run good with a 1000 watt amp. It's a sony xplod. Or would you suggest a better amp for little price

  • @sbarnett80 Yes, this sub will be able to handle that amplifier.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Hey sonic how efficient is the Hifonics Brutus BRZ 1200.1D amplifiers ? will they draw less current on my stock alt and batt ? need to power my 2 12 CVR's in a 4 cu ft ported box @ 32hz

  • @sbarnett80 Sony xplod amps and subs are weak and they over rate their subs and amps....they only disply MAX power ratings....If I were you I would go on ebay or sonicelectronix and get either the Kenwood KAC-9105D or the Hifonics Brutus BRZ 1200.1D amp...both of these amps are true to their RMS ratings and will power that L7 quite nicely...and they are both efficient.

  • I had fun setting the 1st World Record ever set with a pair of L7 12", back in 2000.

    [ 151.1 with a single ZR600, (Later; 153.7 w/single ZR1000)

-Even in spite of Greg Brown trying his best to frustrate my efforts by sending me dissimilar voice coils replacement sets & holding up the shipments for as long as possible.

I understand he's no longer there, ...interesting.

Thanks to Jerry McCord for his help, R&D work & overall Genius.

I wonder how Richard's six L7 12" are doing in Modesto?

  • @SonicElectronixTV i build a new box for my l7 and it is LOUD even tho its smallest recommended box :S and yeah i would love to have kicker amp but their kinda expensive and out of my budget at the moment but maybe in future ill get better amps. My spl dymamics gives 980w rms rated and they are cheapish but still reliable used in competitions so ill stick with that as long as i'm gonna build bigger system
