"Pedro 'Peruchin' Justiz was probably to Latin piano playing what Charlie Parker was to saxophone playing. Everyone from Eddie Palmieri to Chucho Valdes has been influenced by the innovations and style of this genius. The tracks here, recorded around 1954, feature, along with Peruchin, Orlando 'Cachaito' Lopez on bass, Tata Guines on congas, Guillermo Barreto on timbales and Gustavo Tamayo on guiro. Peruchin murio casi en el olvido pues NO SIMPATIZABA con Castro es por eso que las nuevas generaciones piensan que la Salsa(musica cubana)surgio en NY,los puertoriquenos,dominicanos y cubanos que estaban en la gran manzana hicieron sus aportes pero el fundamento es Cuba es como que se inventara un nuevo nombre a la musica de Mariachi de Mexico,ponerle algo asi como ritmo Guacamole
