I'm not Mormon- strongly disagree with the religion on multiple accounts. However, being from Utah, I have many friends who are Mormon and I can't deny the beauty of this song. The Mormon Tabernacle is amazing!

@superbm77 its is burning because of the sheer guilt you will feel. god rarely speaks literally my friend. life is a test, and the teacher is always silent during a test... =)

@BreAna1393 Public responses get public answers...I love this also and have found the Mormons to be sincere. However there leadership grossly misleads people into thinking that their is no literal burning hell. If they received later revelation why would Jesus Christ come back and say their is no literal hell.

It doesn't matter your religion, if you are a true admirer of beauty then you can look past a religion and see the beauty of this song. Keep going Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I don't care what your religion is, just keep making these beautiful compositions!

"Carol of the Bells" is a Christmas carol. It was composed by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych with an English text created later by American composer Peter J. Wilhousky, who wrote lyrics entirely unrelated to the original ones. The carol is based on a folk chant known in Ukrainian as "Shchedryk". Wilhousky's lyrics are copyrighted, although the musical composition and original arrangement is not.
