How Many Days? Day 830

Sons Of Maxwell, a band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada had their Taylor guitar broken on a United Flight. United Airlines would do nothing to compensate or replace the guitar, so the band wrote a song called "United Breaks Guitars" and made a music video which has now been on CNN, etc and giving United a kick in the ass. Here is my support!

Filmmaker Gavin Michael Booth is on a mission to meet the Hollywood professionals that have inspired him in his career thus far.

Steven Spielberg, Kevin Smith, Jimmy Eat World, Zach Braff, Tom Anderson, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Johnny Depp, Harry Knowles, Dan Mirvish, Bryan Singer, and Ellen DeGeneres.

Click here to see the daily video journals from Gavin as he asks, pleads, begs, whines for these people to sit down for dinner and offer advice and encouragement for his directing career.

  • Thank you for explaining how to fight back, even though some of your vewers say that your just blabing. So many times the bigs guys out there just don't care and after they take your money they don't want to do anything about it and just want you to go away, unless your just strupid and want to give them more money.

  • Always have to fight the man when you're just and correct to!

  • The original "United Breaks guitars" was excellent, this one is just piggyback

  • As in a VIDEO RESPONSE... yes.

  • FYI - What came out last night was that the charity donation that United was to give - went to charity that that is chaired by a woman by the name of SONYA jACKSON - Who we might add is an executive with - and you guessed it UNITED AIRLINES - THE DUDES ARE CLUELESS

  • LOL - love it. Thanks for giving me the facts!

  • Way to go Bro, I completely agree with you!

  • @12stringsforme unless you buy a seat for it. If you care about it BUY A SEAT FOR IT. It hurts to pay extra, you give extra money to the airline shitheads, it's not right, but when it comes down to it your guitar will never leave your sight!

  • Good video! United you should have paid!

Viral Video about Prudential on YouTube called "Prudential Lost My Line 6 Amp"

  • i agree with 12stringsforme about anytime you check a guitar on a flight you know it might be damaged so don't fly with your primo gear. i honestly think they should have covered the full cost of the guitar and case if not for just for doing what's right, at least to avoid bad publicity. and sadly yea, shit happens but the responsible party needs to cover damages when it does. good luck man.

  • The smart play here is to piggyback off of the success of the viral video, put a creepy Che Guevara hat and say that you're never flying United again. Why? Because as the guy stated, he has a lot of travelling to do. The end game being United calls Mr. Che Hat and offers vouchers should he come back to flying United. Well played Mr. Che Hat. Siding with the greater good. I bet if you worked in United flight 93 on 9/11 you might leverage some buddy passes.

  • Thank you for coming out and showing how to fight back at the big guys. So many times the big guys think that they can just scew everyone over and don't care. Keep fighting!

  • my you like to blabber, jughead.
