Type One Diabetes Everyday Hero - Jacob R.

Florida boy with type one diabetes sets out to raise money for research by organizing a Walk to Cure Diabetes at his elementary school. He wil also head to Washington D.C. in June 2009 with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Children's Congress to attend a congressional hearing to encourage congress to continue funding research dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes. He is one of only 150 children from across the country selected as a delegate to Children's Congress and will also meet with Florida senators and representative to advocate the cause while he is there.
