I owned apogee divas....martin logans....magnepans....tons of speakers.

Ended up with the LS3/5A......aint that funny.

Best speakers ever, whatever the 10audio deaf reviewers say. Harbeth + audioresearch + TT with high resolution cartridge = unbeatable. Make sure your room is big enough for their bigger speakers and sound treated properly. Critics are deaf like many 'audiophiles'

Most amps work well with LS3/5A (they need some power to bloom) Quad will do.....I have a sony TA-5650 V-Fet love it.

Tubes seem to be best...with LS3/5A...but i prefer transistor because it makes the sound more dynamic.

Will Modified Quad 405 amps go ideal with the LS3/5a?

Never liked them,

don't understand the cult for them, have had around three pairs pass though my hands and found almost any other half decent speaker beats them hands down.

They are dull, lack dynamics, hard to drive, bottom out on the bass at medium levels, sound slow.

Everything i don't want from a speaker!

Still if you like them and the boring, dull BBC sound, then good for you!.
