This Week In Indian Territory August 21

Next video in the series of events that occurred in Indian Territory prior to Oklahoma statehood involving the former slaves of the Five Slave Holding Tribes known as the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek (Muskogee) and Seminole.

Information concerning these events were taken from actual newspaper articles, the Congressional Record and Dawes Commission records.
