Waxman Threatens to Kick Issa Out of Hearing Room

Waxman was asking the witness to divulge a conversation he had with the President. Remember, in our Federal System conversations with both members of Congress and of the Executive Branch conducted in the normal pursuit of business by members of Federal Agencies is to a large degree privileged. Waxman was treading on having the commissioner violate Executive privilege. Had the President been asking about a conversation the Commissioned had with Waxmman, he would've been similarly evasive.

well i think they can subpeona you if you dont go or walk out and if u dont show up thay time they can serve a warrant and make u appear, i think. these are valuable tho i think during one of these, not on energy or the epa, but joe valachi told his story about organized crime in america. which changed how law enforcement targeted crime for years to come

I don't like these kind of "hearings" because they are more like "interrogations" wherever they come from Dems or Reps. or otherwise

i agree, some of our leaders r acting like children and trying to make America a socialist country completely ignoring what the ppl want, trying to impose their will upon us, preaching but not doing what they preach.. aka limosene liberals..

Its just not that simple man. you say they are "completely ignoring what the ppl want" the collective conservative ideology hardly constitutes "the ppl" as a whole. Whats more, there are indeed some people here who DO want a socialist system.
I for one do not think Socialism is what is needed here. I do however think we need some mild social reform. Our continued Ultra-Capitalist ME ME ME society WILL bring about our ruin. Just like Socialism would.
