@gameguy20100 shes been a slave her whole life too and she didnt sell him out "just to be a magister" becoming a magister was the only way she might be more than a slave. and if you let her go you dont find out his becoming a slave was a selfless sacrifice, you find out that fenris wanted the power the magister offered, he willingly accepted the "gifts" the magister offered, sure to save his family, but also because he wanted power.
