Clip of 'Tide Table' (2003), the final film in Kentridge's 'Soho Eckstein' series of nine films, with a live performance of Philip Miller's score by the Archimia Quartett (Milan) accompanied by Vincenco Pasquariello on piano, and Tumelo Meloi, a Xhosa vocalist. This performance was part of the William Kentridge Exhibition mounted at the University of Brighton from 7th November to 31st December 2007. The exhibition, William Kentridge: Fragile Identities was curated by Tom Hickey. This clip forms part of a documentary by Ian McDonald and Tom Hickey on William Kentridge and the politics of art in post 'anti-apartheid South Africa, due for release in 2010.
