Here is the first part of my recording test of the Flip Ultra HD. Not bad, however I am playing a little softer than normal due to the camera clipping quite a lot at high volumes.

The second part is recorded above the drums - there is a small difference in sound, a bit less hi-end, and a bit more low end.

Part 2 is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJF4nHOsYP8

  • You sir put me to shame when it comes to drumming. Geez, I need to to learn jazz. The Panasonic seems to be more filtered/muffled. The flip has better sound clarity but I do notice that "clip." The Panasonic seems to have better visual quality, except when it comes to the part 2 of your flip. Why such a difference? Lighting?

  • Dude, this is sweet. I want a flip mainly for my drum videos, whether it be with the drumline, or set. At least now I know that the flip can handle it.

    btw, nice beats man!

  • real nice playing.. some good transitions..
