Themrosin your really stupid Paul openly admitted that parts of the song where about john

Paul never publicly attacked John. Ever. Paul never questioned John's music. Ever. But John did that repeatedly to Paul. It's sad that John was so insecure that he had to build himself up by cutting other people down. I don't admire Lennon's cruelty. And I never will. And Paul's lyric: "You Took Your Lucky Break and Broke it In Two," is TRUE. John went on a one-man campaign to destroy the Beatles and build up his own mythology (or I should say, his
"JohnandYoko" myth. It was all about him.

@bsstrr1 "John NEVER seemed to run out of ideas." Are you crazy? The consensus on John's solo career is that he had completely run out of steam by 1972. His albums after Imagine range from mediocre to weak (except Walls & Bridges). And in 1980 Lennon produced the adult contemporary mush of Double Fantasy while Paul made McCartney II, a weird and wonderful record that was WAY ahead of its time and got strong reviews when it was reissued this year.

Lennon really could be an ass when he was ready.

i believe it's just an evidence how amazingly deep their friendship was. i think all of us experienced the the ups and downs of friendships. they were two really lovely and talented guy, and come on, nowdays these freaking celebrities fight in magazines, and on the interwebs, they were having a hard time but they made wonderful, wonderful art during. i love both of them so much, amazing people. i went to paul's concert in december, when he sang here today, everything was in that song
peace.

Yeah, there was a lot of animosity between Paul and John in the later Beatle years that spilled over aftert they broke up. Sad part is, "Ram" is a great party album, It was Paul's second, following his first solo, "Paul MaCartney" which was absolutely wonderful. He followed that up with "Ram." I loved it. I still love it. After that, he just went off the cliff with way too many bad songs and bad albums while John NEVER seemed to run out of ideas. However, none of the sole stuff touched the group.
