  • Did Evie record this song in the '60s? Is it on one of her albums? Thanks, anyone.

  • @aimeemannfan2010 It's on the album of the same name, which was re-released in the UK on Revola a few years back.

  • I like this version but also have checked out the others on You Tube by the Troggs, Spiritualized and the Liverpool Five. The Troggs is uninspiring , whereas the versions by Spiritualized and the LP5 are great.

  • Forget about the Troggs version ,and even Evie's as offered here.. The song was first offered by Chip Taylor to the Liverpool Five in early 1966. That group recorded it as a very soulful song and you should listen to it on "Nuggets from the Liverpool Five" ( Part 2) , also ony You Tube. However, I do agree that Evie's vinyl record sounds better than this offering

  • Evie does a very fine job on this tune but I gotta agree with others who also like the Liverpool Five's version.

  • Happy Birthday Evie!

  • @geomck, thanks for the info. Now, I have to

    find it. Once again, thanks.

  • Evie rocks! Love her version. What a shame she didn't get the recognition she deserves.

  • @stubbyguy

Sadly, the system failed Evie. She recorded some great stuff for companies that went under, leaving her always trying to catch up.

  • Thanks so much for this. Evie is a treasure.

  • Hey Harvey 1954......the arrangement of this tune by the Liverpool Five shows more influence of the Righteous Bros....blue eyed soul ....also on Y. Tube.

  • why was she never famous with her talent?
