Gun Control from Michigan

Using the term "my baby" in reference to your AR-15 opens the door for the anti-gunners to label gun owners as nuts.

It was a play on words to make the Dems. think I was talking about a child. Obviously, most people took it different. However, if I had not done everything exactly as I did, I might not have been selected as one of the questioners.

The dems. took advantage of it to make you look like a child. Trying to get yourself on TV does not justify making gun owners look mentally unstable, it doesn't help the cause.

Well that's dems. for you. They will take a figure of speech and flip it around to make someone they dont like seem idiotic or crazy. I think it was great. Do us all a favor? If you dont have anything nice to say, just keep it to yourself.

When EVERYONE'S rights are at stake, ALL gun owners have a responsibility not to jeopardize those rights for the rest of us. If you don't understand that simple principle, perhaps you should educate yourself.

Can someone please! help me im dying here, there are so many gun laws left and right i just dont know how im gonna get my first gun im 17 my dad is willing to let me get a Ruger 10/22 .22LR rifle for my first basic plinker. And i dont know were to start on this confusing road, Way to many laws how can i do this legally without getting in any sort of trouble in the state of Michigan? i mean it says No to getting a permit, registry, license, and so on but are family shooting area is in Ohio.

Are there any people who have knowledge on michigan firearm laws who can answer my questions?

Your first step would be to turn 18. You can't legally own a gun in Michigan until you are of age. Next would be to go buy one and don't lie on the questionaire. You can buy long guns anytime, but pistols require a permit to purchase. Have your dad go with you to tge gun store so they understand your not just a kid buying a gun to do something you shouldn't.
