This isn't even music, it's an experience of sound. Funk, Punk and Metal noize that ends where it started in total chaos. From Micheal Henderson's rock solid 4/4 bass playing to Pete Cosey's shredded guitar genius to Reggie Lucas funk vamps and Dave Liberman's bop sax abstractions and James Mtume's grooving percussion and the Master Miles Davis himself with command of sound and total fury of a great band in it's prime.

This is what Can wished they sounded like when they grooved Slayer/Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax has nothing on the total energy and proto- thrash thud of this song except it has a bottom that Thrash Metal wished it had. Hip- Hop wished it was this forward thing musically and Punk/Alternative could never raise this much anarchy in sound. 40 years later it is still the standard and most importantly the single-minded genius of the "Dark Prince of music, Miles Dewey Davis.
