@scooterboi17 thanks for the info. I bought a nikon but was not too satisfied. Looking into this one again :)

@Caram3lLov33 Isn't that the same as saying don't but a Volkswagen because people say Ford has a car the goes a little faster.
-
@wonglpnn "-2 x crop factor (so a 50mm focal length lens becomes 100mm, though can be useful too)" So is that a pro or a con?
"There's no best camera imo,"... ?

Were you doing video? isn't it spose to be silent auto focus? I hope that sound doesn't come every time it focuses in video mode. Nice camera other than that, I'm gonna buy one soon.
-
@wonglpnn one more question- for a beginner with this camera where do you suggest beginning in learning to use it? Also, I was told not to purchase this camera and instead invest in a canon or nikon. What is your opinion?
-
what other items do you suggest getting along with this camera- such as cases or cleaning stuff? Thank you

I used to own the pen 2, but sold it because the focus was sooo slow! But seeing this vid im temped to buy the epl2, olympus finally made the focus faster.
@caram3ilov33. I do think m43 is a good beginner system coz it's light and good image quality.
Cons of m43:
-slower AF, grainier pics at highISO
-lesser choice and expensive lens
-2 x crop factor (so a 50mm focal length lens becomes 100mm, though can be useful too)
- Deeper depth of field, so if you want similar out of focus background like canon/nikon, sorry wrong camp.
There's no best camera imo, if you don't bring the "best" equipmt out, it's no different from using an iphone.my 2 cts

hi caram3lov33,
tks for dropping by!
screen protector, cleaning kits, skins and straps to dress pen up;-)
hi roger767, go for it, it's really faster than before, though i think the pany will be faster. i have no complains coz most of the time I use old manual lenses with VF2 (electronic viewfinder) which is awesome combi.

what i like, it's combi of the strengths of ep2 + epl1. E.g. 1/4000s max shutter time, remote shutter button, better ergonomic & IQ than ep2, big nice screen. Dislikes, there seems to be the red spot issue with this sensor which is apparent on smaller aperture f8 shooting at bright light source (sun, street lights at night), another dislike is lack of iso 100, though not a big issue. The red spot is more an issue for me, still testing at the diff situations that may happen. YMMV though.
