but mastertapes are mainly recorded at 15IPS

high speed versions of Revox reel to reel tape recorders DO offer this speed, but not the standard versions

you could record on 7 1/2 IPS on a two track G36...

but for a master I would use 15IPS with studio recording tape...

there is a highspeed version of the A77 and a professional version of the A77 too

@ragusa61 Can I ask why? I have the same player and have used it like this and on flat surface.

Also if anyone knows why I have 50v between my unit and ground I'd be very grateful of any suggestions. I get the occasional shock :/
