What a wonderful heritage you have indeed! To me your grandfather was one of the best singers, performers ever! Will have to ask her, but your grandfather serenaded my best friend on a TV show in the '60s. Will get back to you on this. Thanks so much for your comment!

Wow! I taped this from an album I rented at the library (casette tape) many years ago. Never mind how many. I didn't write down the name of the song or the album, and of course I couldn't find it when tapes went away so I could put it on my computer. Thank you!

Great to hear from you. This album, (which I also heard initially from a cassette tape,) was/is one of the most beautiful, mysterious and confounding choral pieces I've ever heard. Having heard him prior in other media, the Presnell name on the little plastic cover convinced me to buy it. You're welcome, and happy you liked this. Happy New Year!

Was there ever any doubt? Wish I had more to upload from our mutual friend! I've been in touch with my best gal pal regarding her having appeared on TV with Mr. P! All I remember is him singing to her. It might have been "The Bell Telephone Hour," or "Firestone Theater," etc. I'm at a loss! Maybe the "Museum of Broadcasting" in NYC may have the answer, but they didn't when I went in 1994! You're the best! Thanks for writing!

You are so lucky! I learned about his wonderful voice from my own father, Warren Galjour, who was also a singer. I would play this album for hours, listening to your grandfather and this college choir. It was a raw sound, perfect for Carl Orff. I miss him, and my father, rest his soul.

I'm sometimes a secretive individual, but no secret that I'm grateful to hear from you L! I'm happy that you liked the superb voice of Mr. Presnell. Think my most unforgettable response is from his grand-son! I was so honored. I spoke with my friend and she confirmed having been "serenaded" by the handsome Harve! I'll have to get back to you, but I think it was on the "Bell Telephone Hour," on early TV. Best to you always!

I think that the tempo here is just a little too quick, but that was up to Ormandy. This is an exquisitely intense and clear performance.
