I disagree that you can;t repeal the law (although it'd need a referendum) If you are caught with a gun in Public, you get jailed unless youve a licence. Why it;s not done is because Americans are used to it and feel it's a right/requirement. They have clouded, deluded judgement although i dont blame them as they were brought up with it.

If America banned guns any person who would use it for illegal purposes would still have one. There are more guns than adults in this country and a huge black market for them. A ban only takes it out of the hands of those that do things the legal way anyways.
