We had just begun to learn the basics of using Maya 6.
The assignment was to string each of our individual 3D anim's to a song of our choice.
Animation (in order of animations' appearance): Salim Ramji (0:00-0:33), Farrah Ramji (0:34-0:57), Rhoda Villegas (0:58-1:21), Claudia Magnesa (1:22-1:58).
But, we had next to no knowledge of Maya 6 (or was it 3DS Max 5??) hence the "experiment" in the title.
I think we were successful!
Song: Chateau by Rob Dougan (Matrix Reloaded Original Soundtrack)
Afterthought:
I think it's funny enough to mention that we winged it through most of this project. Yet the video still seemed to sync with most of the beats! My section (pink lego-ish, firey bit) turned out to be too quick a frame rate than initially planned, but..! Yeah, it feels great to see a plan work out when it's winged. Last minute spontaneity FTW! :D (Or maybe there were just too many beats for it NOT to work anyway..?!!?!1)
