@drewnetwork You didn't notice some of them were horribly shaky? Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, but this really needs to be re-edited in my opinion. Preview in my video editor brought my CPU to its knees, so I didn't notice until after I'd rendered it, which took 2 hours on the fourth attempt. Apart from that, I'm quite pleased with it.

Exzellenter Beitrag! Und endlich mal ein Kaff, das ich kenne. ;) Aber ich hab von Frankfurt immer nur die hässlicheren Seiten gesehen, halt so Bahnhof und Co. Meine Verlobte damals wohnte aber auch nicht direkt in Frankfurt, sondern in Kronberg im Taunus, und wir sind nur gelegentlich mal nach Frankfurt reingefahren. Das einzige Problem als Autofahrer fand ich dort nur die Drogensüchtigen, die einem alle Nase lang vors Auto zu springen drohen.

Das Stadtbahn-System findest du im Ruhrgebiet sehr häufig, und es wird immer noch gebaut. Dortmund und Bochum haben erst vor wenigen Jahren die meisten Straßenbahnlinien im Innenstadtbereich unterirdisch neu verlegt, während am Stadtrand immer noch oberirdisch gefahren wird. Und Oberleitungen sind hierzulande das vorherrschende System. Stromschiene hast du meines Wissens nur in Hamburg und Berlin. Die sind nämlich auch nicht der Weisheit letzter Schluss und für den Straßenraum auch ungeeignet.

@alameachan Frankfurts U-Bahn ist offiziell keine Stadtbahn -- ob diese differenzierung rechtfertigt ist, ist eine andere Frage, aber z.T. fahren Züge, die eher typisch für eine U-Bahn sind; außerdem ist bei einer Stadtbahn auf Strecken die StVO zu beachten, was in Ffm nicht der Fall ist. Ursprünglich sollte das Netz komplett als U-Bahn umgebaut werden, scheiterte aber wegen der zu hohen Kosten. Echte U-Bahn-Netze gibt's auch in München und Nürnberg, alle (bs auf Ffm) mit Stromschiene.
