Probably the best cover of this song that I've ever heard so far... The similarity to Morrissey's voice is uncanny!

Good Effort, it's so hard to give these (smiths) songs justice. You have done it!

@adameater I guess I'm referring to the original 12 inch single (boy am I dated!). It was 5:33. It had an instrumental break that included a bass solo, an extra verse, and an extended outro. And it had lots more reverb on the guitar. I have a CD called This Charming Man Remixes on Sire/Reprise 9 40583-2. It has all 7 versions including that one, a 4 minute instumental version, and the B side Wonderful Women.

I didn't use the presets..try picking something close to a fender twin, then add reverb and a lil' digital delay. You might have to tweak it a bit until you get the sound you want.

Really great! But I was hoping for the long version.

Thanks so much! I'm not sure which long version? This version is the exact length of the original Album song.

@adameater It doesn't look like it's still available. You might be able to track down a used copy, although no true Smiths fan would ever give one up. They would have to pry mine from my cold dead hands!

Thanks for refreshing my memory, I know exactly which one your talking about, I actually used to have a copy of it myself. It had a "naked" bass line I believe and limited or no vocals if I remember right. I'm sure, somewhere buried in my music collection I have it. However, I just had the mp3, not the original with Wonderful Woman..That would be a great find.
