1972 Fender Stratocaster

This is a really lightweight 1972 Strat, which i had equipped with Fender Custom Shop Fat 50´s. The guitar looks very much nice and is really sleek and fast. I string em with Thomastik-Infeld Power Brights 10-50 which I think are really good strings.Set up again my NYC Pedalboard with Fulltone, TC stuff and my nice 1974 Twin Reverb with JBL´s.

Real nice soft tone. Played with feeling. What kind of wood is it in this guitar? Is it a basswood body? Japan reissue? Or genuine 72 american cbs?

thx for your kind remark. no, the strat is a genuine 1972 which i had outfitted with custom shop fat 54´s. the wood is extremely light alder. apart from the pickguard and the pickups, the guitar is stock.

Dear mr Azhar,actually I don't think that it sounds like elevator music at all,but it is funny seeing the expression on your face.

Sweet playin' man...Love those custom shop Fat 50's. I bought a set loaded into a black pickguard and put it on my black Jimmie Vaughan Strat, so it looks exactly like yours. Don't see that black-on-black setup very often. But I dig it with a maple neck. And the pups are awesome. Good video.
